This event is actually two shows in one. Art and craft will be in one area of the park and “Educate the Child” family activities, non-profits and environmental groups in another. Food service venders, please call me directly for applications. For family Activities, please see instructions for Family activities at the end of this application
====== Artists and Craftspeople====== The site: Memorial Park is on the main road into Tybee, one block back from the beach, on the right just beyond City Hall. Spaces are grassy. You may drive to your spot for load/unload, then park locally. Tent stakes are not recommended in Memorial Park as the soil is sandy, and we have very windy conditions. Please weight your tents. Publicity: Extensive advertizing is planned through promotions at local hotels and galleries, welcome centers, and websites. In addition to regional events calendars, posters and postcards, we will be posting a billboard on the main street leading to the islands for the week before the show. Starting Thursday, we will place street signs at significant locations around Savannah. Rebates: In this volatile economy, we would like to reward you for helping us. For each new artist/craftsperson that you refer to us, we will rebate $10 to you at the show. Just have them write “Referred by …..” at the top of their application. You both must be accepted into the same show. Also, if you demonstrate your art or craft for an hour or more, we will rebate an additional $10 at the show. The Show must go on! Inclement weather is nobody’s responsibility. We will have the show, rain or shine. Due to our sandy soil, tent stakes are not very effective, Please weight down your tents, the islands gets real gusty weather. Artists: All work must be substantially made by the artists. The artist must be present at the show. Exhibited work must be consistent with the photos and application submitted to the selection committee. Acceptance in one show does not mean that you are accepted into any future show. Only one artist is permitted per booth. A two person team who make items together may qualify as a single exhibitor. Late arrival or early breakdown without notice may be cause for rejection in future shows. Exhibitors are responsible for their own accounting system and payment of Chatham County’s 7% sales tax. All artists must have their own 10 by 10 (max) free standing tent and all other equipment for their display. Artists are limited by category. Jewelry and photography are popular categories. Be sure to give us a description of what sets you apart. You will receive notification of the determination within a week of the due date. Application Packet: Please enclose two photos of your work, plus one of your booth. A website or email with included photos is acceptable. If you want your photos returned, add a SASE. Early registration is $175 if received before October 23. $200.00 fee if application or funds are received after due date. No refunds after due date. $25.00 charge for returned checks. |

In the spirit of CELEBRATE TYBEE, Art in the Park invites local non profit organizations to take a spot at this event. You may have a tent, a single table, a little fishing carnival or a costumed wanderer, like Naz T. Butt. You may hand out brochures, sell plants or find homes for homeless pets. We welcome Tybee non profit groups and the city to participate and promote their objectives. Booth fee is $25 unless you are offering items for sale. Then a city vender permit may be required. Please fill out the application below and mail by October 23.
